"X Gon' Give Information technology to Ya" is a 2003 song by American rapper DMX, released as the lead single from the soundtrack Cradle ii the Grave. The song also appeared as a hidden track on DMX's greatest hits album, The Definition of X: The Option of the Litter and equally a bonus runway on European releases of his so-current album Grand Gnaw (from whose sessions the song is taken). It was written by DMX and produced past co-soundtrack organizer Shatek.[i] It was his about successful international single.

Commercial performance [edit]

The song constitute success on the charts, peaking at number 60 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 30 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and number 13 on the Hot Rap Songs. "X Gon' Give It to Ya" later on saw a resurgence in popularity following its inclusion in the 2016 film Deadpool, along with prominent spots in its marketing campaign. Following the motion-picture show'southward release, the vocal bested its 2003 performance on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs nautical chart with a top position of number 23, rose 403 percent in sales with 26,000 downloads, and rose 104 percent in streams to 2.half dozen 1000000 United states clicks.[2] Equally of May 2017, the unmarried has officially been certified platinum past the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

  • The vocal was featured in the 2016 Marvel Comics moving-picture show Deadpool, and appears on its official soundtrack.[2] As information technology became closely associated with the franchise, information technology briefly played in the sequel, Deadpool two (2018).
  • The song was featured on the soundtrack of the 2016 video game Forza Horizon iii.[5]
  • In early 2019 the vocal was widely featured in memes and videos associated with the popular graphic symbol Mr X in the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 at the time the game came out on the aforementioned mean solar day DMX was released from prison house on January 25, 2019.[6] [vii]
  • The song was featured in episode 7 of the 7th flavour of Shameless.
  • A version of the song was used in a Chex commercial titled "Chex Gon' Give It To Ya".
